SALT announces industry-leading Board of Advisors
March 21, 2006 – SALT® Branding, the firm that branded Coca-Cola’s new hybrid energy soda VAULT™, Microsoft’s next generation Windows Vista®, and Wi-Fi™, announced today a Board of Advisors formed from industry leaders in the fields of Brand Management, Venture Capital, and Advertising to help support and focus its strategic growth. The new directors include Fred Goldberg – Founder, CEO and Chairman of Goldberg Moser O'Neill Advertising; Prof. Kevin Keller – E.B. Osborn Professor of Marketing at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College; and Janice Roberts – Managing Director at Mayfield Fund. The Board of Advisors will help guide SALT as it expands its business, client base and market share.
“You cannot act effectively without a comprehensive understanding of the problem, the client, the consumer, and the marketplace at large,” said Paul Parkin, SALT’s Creative Director. “SALT is applying this approach to our own business by gathering the experience and advice of successful industry experts who will help us take our own business to the next level.”
Founded in 2001, SALT is a senior-level team whose new thinking, integrated strategic approach, and breakthrough creative has quickly gathered an impressive roster of both Fortune 500 clients including Microsoft, Disney, Coca-Cola, and Sprint-Nextel as well as venture-backed start-ups including GLU, Medem, Mobile 365, Smugmug, and Vinfolio.
“I am very interested in entrepreneurial cultures and companies that stay fresh and ahead of the curve in their thinking,” said Janice Roberts, Managing Director at Mayfield Fund. “Having worked with SALT on several of Mayfield’s investments, our goals of bringing fresh and strategic thinking to our clients are very much in alignment.”
