The bank faced a problem, a problem most banks have – they’re perceived as a bank, a great place for checking and savings accounts, ATM machines and loans; but not long-term financial investments. For investments, trusts, estate business or pensions, customers have felt more confident with the supposed “specialists” and “experts.” Yet Bank of Hawaii not only provides these services, but excels in them. In Hawaii, the bank is a major player, with over $12 billion in assets managed, and some of the highest-performing funds. They had a wider range of personal investment products, and more highly qualified and accessible fund managers, private bankers, and investment advisors than any of the competition – but few people knew.
Communications for the p3 equation target the next generation of bank customers and future investors.
