Aliph’s founders pioneered a new acoustic algorithm and combined it with the latest in acoustic engineering to continuously adjust and improve audio quality based on what it knows about the noise in your environment. Funded by both DARPA (The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and venture capital firms, they set out to combine military-grade technology with sleek, contemporary, ergonomic design.
The new name and identity were inspired by the product design and function. “Jawbone” came from the way headset reads the vibrations from the user’s cheek. The logo is an abstract profile of the headset.
