In January 2000, SALT handled their first Microsoft project. Since then we have tackled over 175 assignments for this branding leader, working with their central marketing and business groups. SALT has addressed a wide range of brand strategy, architecture, naming, design, messaging, and communication projects: From the naming of Windows Vista – the next generation PC operating system, launching in 2007 – to creating a global messaging strategy for Windows Mobile. Some examples of our work with Microsoft are displayed over the following pages.
Microsoft operates a “house of brands” strategy, which allows individual brands to focus on specific offerings and audiences. The Microsoft master-brand endorsement is an additional element that helps support their product brands. |
