One of Hawaii’s oldest institutions, and a long-time client of SALT, Bank of Hawaii created the Pacific Capital Funds many years ago as an investment vehicle for Hawaii’s emerging wealth. A new management team wanted to build on the success of the funds beyond the confines of the bank, to compete against other leading national funds on the mainland. SALT convinced the bank that the Pacific Capital Funds required an independent brand, with new propositioning and personality that expressed the intimate and local character – a brand reflecting the side of Hawaii not always seen by the tourists.
SALT’s brand strategy focused on revealing the locals’ inner knowledge of Hawaii – “Know Your Financial Landscape” emerged as the guiding concept behind the design strategy.
